Hector Davis (1842-1925) was born into slavery in Abbeville County, South Carolina, near Greenwood, to Jack & Flora Davis.  Their enslaver, John Burnett, brought them to Panola County, MS (Como) in 1861.  Hector married Lucy Milam in 1866, and they had 15 children.  Lucy Milam Davis (1846-1927) was born in Tate County, MS to Wade Milam and Peggy Briscoe Milam.  Hector  & Lucy Davis are the great-great-grandparents of the submitter.
