of Shirley Plantation..

2.Robert II (1704-1732) married and had children
        Priscilla Churchill (1705-1757), a daughter
        Elizabeth b. 1725,
        Robert III, b. 1728

    4.Landon
    5.George

Robert "King" Carter died at the age of 69 in 1732 and left an estate of
333,000 acres, more than 1,000 slaves and 10,000 English pounds.

Robert Carter II (1704-1732) died unexpectedly at age 28, only months after
his father (King Carter), leaving his wife of seven years, His daughter
Priscilla married Col. John Lewis, widower.

*Priscilla Carter, King Carter’s grandchild, marries a man from a family as
rich as the Carters.
Col. Lewis was a widower with five children and when Elizabeth moved to his
home, "Warner Hall" in Gouchester, her two children joined an already active
household.

This researcher has not uncovered what slave arrangements took place with
such a marriage. Many questions that we ask ourselves: Which Carter slaves
moved to Warner Hall? How much of her family’ wealth did Pricilla bring with
her? What about her Churchill connection? Were slaves involved there.
These are just some of the questions that researchers ask and seek answers to
later. Happy Hunting. Your host, Breck
