Dena Jordan takes on the Wall Street Journal
On April 29, 2003, the Wall Street Journal published an article, "Welcome to the new generation of family reunions -- online", which rated several online genealogy sites including AfriGeneas. AfriGeneas member, Lisa Lee, took issue with how the WSJ rated AfriGeneas compared to Ancestry, Genealogy.com and others and posted the article and her comments to the AfriGeneas Forum. he AfriGeneas community responded immediately and bombarded the WSJ with letters to the editor. The WSJ printed Dena Jordan's letter in which she addressed the erroneous statements in the WSJ article. Way to go, Dena! And our thanks to all who responded to Lisa's call to action.
